My journey toward becoming a counselor began during my first year of college when I wrote a paper on creating a utopian world—a place where harmony thrived, and everyone helped each other. This vision sparked my passion for guiding individuals to identify and reach their potential, helping them function in a world where they can solve problems and live peaceful, fulfilling lives.

My journey toward becoming a counselor began during my first year of college when I wrote a paper on creating a utopian world—a place where harmony thrived, and everyone helped each other. What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a holistic approach to counseling, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Gestalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Reality Therapy. These approaches not only focus on mental health but also consider the connection between mind, body, and spirit. By addressing all dimensions of wellness, I help clients develop coping mechanisms, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities that contribute to their overall well-being. I specialize in grief counseling, guiding clients through the five stages of grief while helping them heal and grow.
