I cannot promise you that your trauma will magically be lifted off your shoulders after our first meeting... But what I can promise you is that you have a strength within you that you may not see right now. While some of those challenges might never go away completely, they don’t have to define who you are. Together, you can learn to live with them and embrace a life filled with joy and resilience. I help heal trauma and maladaptive behaviors by blending a spiritual and Indigenous lens with evidence-based modalities like EMDR and CBT. As a member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma, I bring a deep respect for diverse cultural backgrounds and strive to create a safe, inclusive space for all. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, which inform my holistic, intuitive, and spiritual approach to trauma healing. I am currently accepting new patients. Also, be sure to ask about my group therapy options for a supportive community-focused experience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a therapist, I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy, understanding, and compassion, and I believe that healing occurs when we view the whole person—not just their presenting problems. I take a holistic approach, meaning we won’t just focus on immediate concerns but also take time to explore the broader context of your life. I’ll consider how various aspects of your environment, relationships, and past experiences might impact your current state. This allows us to address underlying issues, leading to deeper and more sustainable healing. I work with clients who are navigating trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is a powerful tool for helping clients process traumatic memories and experiences. As an Indigenous woman, I also use a blend of traditional therapy methods with spiritual and holistic practices. This enables me to approach therapy in a way that feels whole, connected, and aligned with your unique needs. What you can expect when working with me is a partnership. I won’t tell you what to do or try to “fix” you—my role is to guide you in discovering your own strengths, resources, and path toward healing. You’ll find that I listen attentively, provide thoughtful insights, and offer practical tools to help you manage life’s challenges. I believe in moving at your pace. Healing is a deeply personal journey, and together we’ll set goals that feel meaningful to you. Whether you’re here for support with grief, trauma, relationships, or life transitions, we’ll work together to explore, understand, and resolve these challenges in a way that honors your experiences and goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand your background, challenges, and therapy goals. We’ll explore your coping mechanisms, identify obstacles holding you back, and uncover what you truly want from therapy. This conversation sets the foundation for our work together. Each session will begin with a check-in about how you’ve been feeling, any recent events, and what’s most pressing for you. We’ll dive into understanding yourself more deeply, exploring areas like trauma, grief, relationships, and self-worth, while creating actionable steps for growth. My approach is holistic, looking at your overall well-being—emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual. We’ll explore past experiences and how they relate to your current challenges. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate EMDR to address trauma and mindfulness techniques to manage stress. You can expect sessions to be supportive, collaborative, and paced according to your comfort. We’ll set goals together and track your progress, making adjustments as needed to fit your evolving needs. My role is to guide you, but you’ll be the one driving the process toward healing and growth. The ultimate goal is for you to feel empowered and confident in facing life’s challenges, with deeper self-understanding and practical tools to navigate obstacles. Together, we will work towards healing the most troubled parts of you, guiding you to become the highest version of yourself.
