It ended. And no one prepared you for this part. Not just the sadness — you expected that. The part no one warns you about is everything underneath it. Checking their profile and hating yourself for it. Replaying the last conversation on a loop. Missing someone who hurt you. The bargaining, the relief, then the guilt for feeling relieved. The quiet terror that this was your person and you'll never be chosen like that again. Trying to figure out who you even are without them — because somewhere in there, you lost track. If you're reading this at 11pm in a bed that suddenly feels too big, this is for you. A breakup or divorce isn't just losing a person. It's losing the future you'd already pictured, the version of yourself you were with them, and the life you thought you were building. That's grief — real grief — and you're allowed to treat it that way, even if everyone keeps telling you you're better off. I help adults through breakups, divorce, and the identity earthquake that comes after one. This is individual work — about you, not the two of you — focused on helping you grieve what ended, understand the patterns that brought you here, and rebuild a relationship with yourself that doesn't depend on someone else to feel whole. My approach is warm, modern, and real. I'm trained in EMDR and ego state therapy — powerful for the attachment wounds and old patterns a relationship can reopen — along with reiki, and when it resonates for you, an Indigenous medicine-wheel lens for healing the whole person. You will not always feel like this. Let's get you to the other side of it — steadier, clearer, and more yourself than you were even before. Associate Therapist offering online therapy in Utah, Arizona, and Missouri, and in-person in Missouri. Supervised by Brandi Sweet, LCSW.

What should a new client know about working with you?

There's no timeline you're supposed to be on, and no version of this that's "too much" for me. If you're a mess one week and fine the next and a mess again — that's not you doing it wrong. That's how loss actually moves. I work with the individual — you — not couples. So this is your space entirely: to be angry, to still love them, to be relieved, to fall apart, to say the things you can't say to friends who are tired of hearing about it. No judgment, ever. I'm a real, warm, modern person in my late 20s — not a blank wall who nods while you do all the work. I get the particular ache of figuring out who you are inside and after a relationship, and I bring that understanding into the room with you. EMDR is what I'm most at home in and what clients come to me for. It's especially powerful for breakups because so much of what hurts isn't logical — it's the attachment wounds and old patterns underneath, the stuff you can't just think your way out of. I'm also trained in ego state therapy and reiki. I believe finding the right-fit therapist matters more than any method, so early on we're just seeing if you feel safe with me. And I believe this: you won't always feel the way you do right now. You're allowed to grieve, and you're allowed to come out of this more yourself than before.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First, you get to just land. Early sessions are a place to set down everything you've been carrying — the parts you can't say to friends, the contradictions, the 2am thoughts. I want your story in your words. No rushing, no fixing before you're ready. We name what you're actually grieving. A breakup is rarely just about the person. It's the future you'd pictured, the identity you had with them, the life you were mid-build on. We get clear on what you actually lost, so the grief makes sense instead of ambushing you. We reach the patterns underneath. This is where EMDR comes in — what I'm most at home in. Breakups reopen old attachment wounds, and so much of the pain isn't rational; it's stored deeper than talk reaches. We work, at your pace, to process it so it stops running you. I may also use ego state therapy for the parts of you most caught in it. (Heart-centered hypnotherapy joins my offerings July 2026.) You rebuild — as yourself. The goal isn't just to "get over them." It's to come out steadier and more whole, understanding your patterns so the next chapter isn't a repeat, and grounded in a relationship with yourself that doesn't depend on anyone else. Practical notes: online sessions in Utah, Arizona, and Missouri, and in-person in Missouri. I work with several insurance plans and also offer private pay (CareCredit available) for clients who want fewer constraints and more privacy. We'll find what fits your situation.

I believe that financial stress shouldn’t be a barrier to healing your nervous system. At NATIVation, we aim for transparency so you can focus on your 'Medicine Wheel' balance rather than paperwork. Insurance & Verification We are in-network with several major providers, including Aetna, SelectHealth, and Cigna. Before our first session, our care team will perform a courtesy insurance check to estimate your coverage. However, insurance can be complex—I always recommend that you call your provider to confirm your specific outpatient mental health benefits and any co-pays you may be responsible for. Payment Options & Assistance If you are paying out-of-network or do not have insurance, my individual session rate is $139. We accept all major credit cards, as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. I understand that sometimes the 'buffering' phase of life includes financial hurdles. To help, we offer: CareCredit Financing: This allows you to set up manageable monthly payments so you can start your EMDR or somatic work without a large upfront cost. Our Process To keep our focus on your healing during our time together, we require all intake forms and insurance details to be completed through our portal 24 hours before your visit. If you have questions about your bill or need to set up a payment plan, our team is incredibly supportive and ready to help you navigate the 'logistics' so you can stay grounded in your work.
