Psychotherapist

I specialize in working with young adults who are navigating the exciting — and often overwhelming — process of building their lives. Whether you’re stepping into your career, redefining relationships, healing from family dynamics, or trying to figure out who you are and what you want, therapy can provide a steady and supportive space to sort it out. My approach is holistic and grounded in the belief that our thoughts, emotions, physical health, and spiritual life are deeply connected. I help clients understand patterns rooted in attachment, anxiety, self-doubt, and body image while developing practical tools for emotional regulation and self-trust. For individuals struggling with stress-related eating, emotional eating, or negative body image, we can explore the deeper emotional patterns connected to food, self-worth, and confidence in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where you feel safe to explore the deeper layers of your inner world. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to help you recognize your strengths while gently working through the challenges that may be holding you back as you build a life aligned with your values.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a calm, grounded, and compassionate space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. I tend to work at a thoughtful pace, helping you understand the deeper emotional patterns that shape your relationships, stress responses, body image, and sense of identity. I draw from attachment theory, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (parts work), DBT skills, and mindful self-compassion. In our work together, we may explore how early experiences shaped your current patterns, while also building practical tools to regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and strengthen self-trust. I often incorporate mindfulness and, when helpful, nature-based reflections to support nervous system regulation and emotional clarity. If spirituality is important to you, I am open to integrating faith into our sessions. As a Christian, I am comfortable including faith-based perspectives when requested, while always honoring each client’s individual beliefs and values. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy expressing creativity through art, fashion, and travel. I value meaningful connection with my husband, family, and friends, and I find joy in simple comforts — like time with animals or a good cup of coffee. These parts of my life help me stay grounded and present in the work I do.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work typically begins with understanding what brought you to therapy and what you hope will feel different in your life. In early sessions, we focus on building trust and identifying patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and stress responses. This helps us clarify goals and create a direction for our work together. Sessions usually begin with a brief check-in, followed by deeper exploration of current challenges. Depending on your needs, we may use mindfulness practices to increase awareness, somatic techniques to regulate the nervous system, or Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand the different “parts” of you that may feel anxious, self-critical, or overwhelmed. I also incorporate attachment-focused work to help you understand how early relationships may be shaping present-day experiences. In addition to insight, we work on practical tools — emotional regulation skills, boundary setting, self-compassion, and healthier coping strategies. My goal is not only to help you understand yourself more deeply, but to leave sessions feeling clearer, more grounded, and more equipped to navigate your life with confidence. Therapy is collaborative and paced according to your comfort level, while still gently challenging you toward growth.
