Getting to know Hana Blair

Hana Blair, MHC-LP is a clinician at Looking Glass Psychology, where she works with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating an array of mental health challenges. Prior to her work as a clinician, Hana received her Ed.M. in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University and her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Miami. Hana brings diverse clinical experience across private practice and community-based settings. In private practice, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. She has also provided community-based support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD, further strengthening her commitment to individualized and accessible care. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, grounded in the belief that humans are inherently resilient. Hana strives to create a space where clients feel safe to show up fully as themselves, and where they are met with care and a grounded sense of support. While she primarily works from a psychodynamic framework, she integrates CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and somatic interventions to tailor care to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. In session, Hana balances gentle curiosity, emotional attunement, and thoughtful challenging to help clients identify patterns, deepen insight, and reach their goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I would describe my therapeutic style as warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. My priority is creating a space where clients feel genuinely cared for, unconditionally accepted, and comfortable showing up as their authentic selves. Therapy can involve laughter and excitement just as much as it can involve difficult emotions, and I strive to meet clients wherever they are each day. I see my clients as the experts on their own lives, while I serve as a steady source of support, curiosity, and guidance throughout their journey. My role is never to judge or rush the process, but to walk alongside clients at their pace while helping them move toward the goals they have. I ask questions, gently challenge patterns, and encourage deeper exploration to help clients gain insight into themselves. I believe that meaningful change comes from both the therapeutic relationship and the exploration of thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may have been overlooked or feel difficult to understand. At the same time, I like to equip clients with practical coping skills they can use day to day so they leave feeling supported both inside and outside of therapy.

Hana is very easy to talk with. She listens to me ad makes me feel understood. She has giving me tools to work with my anxiety. English is my second language and it’s very difficult to find someone who can make me feel comfortable with my communication skills She has been a great fit for me.
I had been through seven therapists in one year before starting with Hana. I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism and ability to help me see my feelings through a clearer lens. It has been amazing since the first session.
I had seen a few different therapists over the years, but I never felt like I was making the kind of progress that I wanted. I finally feel like I’m there thanks to Hana. Her calm, gentle, and easygoing approach made it easy to open up to her from the start. You can tell she genuinely cares and wants to help. I honestly can’t imagine a better therapist, and I’m so grateful I found her.
