Getting to know Hanna Bingham

I support adult clients, couples, and those in the LGBTQIA+ community who are navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, communication issues, and religious harm. Together, in an affirming space, we’ll explore the stories that have shaped you and create new pathways toward honoring your agency, innate wisdom, and true sense of self. With EMDR, narrative, and somatic approaches, I will help you to feel safe in your body, heal your nervous system and anxiety/trauma responses, and cultivate a life rooted in authenticity, communal connection, and hope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative and respectful of your experience. I offer private pay sessions, with a generous sliding scale from $70-$160 per session. I integrate approaches grounded in feminist, queer, and anti-oppressive theories and values. Therapy with me is trauma-informed and understands that restoration in the midst of systemic injustice or generational harm comes through intentional, compassionate, and careful healing work. Whether you want to heal from trauma and burnout, reduce anxiety, or enter into long-term growth and change in your daily life, I will support you through it. It's never too late to turn away from feelings of "not enough", "too much," or both, and to move into becoming more fully yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you decide to work with me, we'll take time to understand the experiences and patterns shaping your life. Healing involves meaningful connection, new tools, and deep self-reflection. Many of my clients notice a reduction in symptoms within the first month of therapy, and continue to experience meaningful growth and healing over time. In our first session, I'll take time to get to know you, your story, and what is bringing you to therapy. After that, providing a collaborative, warm, and affirming space, we will work together to address your goals for treatment. I adapt my approach to the unique needs of each client, making sure you feel understood, honored, and able to move into healing and growth at a pace that is right for you. We will use things like meditation, body movement, breathing exercises, and art to help you heal your nervous system and address symptoms of trauma and anxiety. We will use EMDR and bilateral stimulation (such as eye movement or tapping) to break through old patterns, cyclical/spinning thoughts, and heal traumas and harmful beliefs. We will use narrative therapy to explore your story, sense of self, community connections, values, and how you navigate through life and relationships, in order to transform the parts of your life that are harming or no longer serving you well. Your healing journey will be adapted to you in order to address your needs thoroughly and holistically.
