Getting to know Hanna Faley

Hi! My name is Hanna Faley, and I am an LCSW who works with teens and adolescents. I have been a therapist for over 20 years, working in settings such as community agencies, hospitals, and schools. I have always loved working with children and teens, as I, too, remember how difficult this time in life can be for many. I have worked with teens who experience anxiety, depression, grief, and anger issues, to name just a few. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Spalding University. I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where I still live today. I have a 22-year-old son and a 19-year-old daughter I share my home with, as well as a very anxious goldendoodle named Blu and two cats. I love to read, take care of the many plants I purchased during the pandemic shutdown, watch Harry Potter marathons, and in the summer, you can usually find me in the pool. I look forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should be an experience that you look forward to, as well as get something out of. I want to help you become the best version of yourself. During your first session with me, I will be asking lots of questions to get to know you better, and to figure out how I can best help. I ask that since I work exclusively with teens and adolescents, that the parent be available for the first session as well so that I can also get their perspective on the situation. By the end of the session, we should have a clear goal we want to accomplish moving forward.
