Getting to know Hannah Pederson

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted from trying to “push through” without adequate support. I’ve been there myself, and have seen how strength and resilience can emerge when people are met with compassion and genuine understanding. My role is to help you slow things down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop tools that feel realistic and empowering. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and co-occurring concerns, as well as the complicated emotions that often come with change, recovery, and life transitions. My practice is relational, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based, guided by a systems perspective that considers the broader contexts shaping our experiences. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, MI, and mindfulness practices, tailoring our work to your goals, strengths, and what feels most helpful and relevant to you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe therapy should feel human, collaborative, and empowering—not intimidating or one-size-fits-all. I see you as the expert in your own life, and believe healing happens best within a safe, authentic relationship—one where you feel seen, heard, and respected. If you’re looking for a space where you can show up honestly, move at your own pace, and feel supported as you navigate change, I would be honored to work with you.
