“Hannah is an extremely calming presence. I only had one session with them so far, but I can already tell that their unique approach is what I’ve been looking for. Hannah was very thorough in understanding what I was looking for, as well as explaining their own approach to therapy sessions. I’m very excited to have sessions with them in the future!”

Getting to know Hannah Varnadoe

Before I graduated with my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University, I was hired as a Community Action Treatment Team therapist to conduct individual and family counseling with youth at risk of being placed out of home due to their mental health, including jail, foster care, and residential treatment. During my time there, I addressed high-acuity issues such as oppositional defiant disorder, out-of-control behavior, attachment disorders, mood disorders, suicidality, LGBTQ+ issues, self-harm, trauma, school issues, and family conflict, to name just a few. Now, in my private practice, I utilize these skills, along with many others I have built throughout my career, to help others through difficulties-even those that may seem insignificant to the person (I'll give you a hint: they're not). I believe in providing top-quality treatment with a special focus on family issues, trauma, ADHD, religious trauma, and anxiety. As a counselor, I strongly believe in a client-led approach. My method can best be summarized as a cross between art and science. No one person is the same, so my approach puts the client in the pilot's seat, allowing you to move and explore at your comfort level while still helping you achieve your goals.
