Getting to know Hawa Jalloh

I am currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for an organization that provides addiction treatments. I obtained over 20 years of leadership and clinical experience in the chemical dependency and mental health treatment field, including specialties in mental health, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, homelessness, intellectual disabilities, and staff development training. I am a clinician by trade that understands the feelings and responsibilities of being in an executive position and owning a business. Choose me because I can relate to and understand your dilemmas, I have the competencies, skill sets and can better help you more than just an ordinary therapist. I received an MSW from Fordham University and an NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) from New York State OASAS. I was awarded the “Whitney M. Young, Jr. Award for Social Action and Change” in 2013 by the New York State National Association of Social Work and was recognized as a “Student Achiever” at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work in 2014. I’ve worked in hospital settings (inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment programs), jail-based treatment programs, non-profit, for-profit, supported housing programs, family and children's services, and for a New York State agency. In 2016, I was elected as the Division Chair for Westchester County National Association of Social Work and was serving as the Division Chair for the county. In addition, I am an educator for a college and CASAC training programs, review grants for State and county agencies, and serve as the President of board membership at a Psychiatric Community Mental Health Center, in Yonkers, New York. I use a person-centered and strength-based approach and individualize your care based on your needs. Through the use of psychodynamic and other evidence-based interventions, we will tailor your needs for your desired outcome.

Amazing , highly receptive and highly professional with a touch of warmth. Dr. Hawa gives great solutions . Thank you so much .
Hawa was an amazing therapist, she listened, empathized, and helped ME come up with solutions to every issue I raised. I felt very heard and, even in the span of 1 short session I was able to feel some relief from all the things that brought me to therapy in the first place. Thank you! :)
