“I dibble dabbled with the idea because I was scared of change and seeking help for myself. Though, after chatting with Heather, I saw that I made the right choice with choosing her! She was extremely patient and was able to quickly read me and my struggles (which most therapists aren't capable of). Though it was out first meeting, I am looking forward to the future ones and hoping for a better future for myself.”

Getting to know Heather Adcock-Eden

With a warm hello, I’d like to introduce myself to the Grow Therapy community. My practice in professional counseling began in 2019 and has led me to many exciting opportunities to work with diverse populations experiencing co-occurring disorders. I hold a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing. I enjoy spending time with family and our pets, as well as adventures exploring the outdoors. Writing and photography are hobbies I craft with care. I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Low Self-Esteem, PTSD, Trauma, Career Issues, Parenting Problems, Codependency, Personality Disorders, Substance Use, and Eating Disorders. My approach is needs-based, drawing from a variety of skills including DBT, Mindfulness therapy, Trauma-based therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. It is important to me to offer you quality care and understanding to help you reach the outcomes you are seeking.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to clearly understand the underlining problem or issue(s). I will carefully listen to understand each client and help them define treatment goals that will best suite their needs through recovery, healing, resolution(s), or crisis/conflict. During each session, I also provide interactive feedback and supportive reflection for patient/client insight. Each session is a therapeutic building up process, which is not linear and based on client willingness for movement and forward motion.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I feel like I could trust Heather forever. She has felt like a friend.

I needed to talk to someone who understood my situation, and Heather is/was the right person. She has always been attentive and caring, and helped me explore steps to improving my own thought processes and coping skills.
Heather is a great listener. She's open-minded, nonjudgemental, warm and extremely supportive. She's an excellent provider and resource.
Heather is an amazing therapist. She’s very authentic, and has always made me feel comfortable talking about anything and everything. She’s great at what she does, and I can’t imagine picking a better therapist for myself. She’s super knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, Heather has helped me tremendously and I have made significant progress without even realizing because of her help.
I’m deciding to go in a different direction. Found her to be a bit rude. She also made it clear that my because of her own trauma she wouldn’t be able to be of help in certain areas. Therefore I felt certain subjects were off limits and it for sure kept me from sharing about my sexual trauma
