Getting to know Heather Adcock-Eden

I assist people with learning mindfulness, identifying patterns, developing coping skills, and fostering growth to overcome mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, personality, relationship, adjustment issues, and trauma. I hold a Master's in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In my practice, I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy. In our first session, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy and determine the best approaches to help you progress. Throughout treatment, I'll guide you in developing healthy thought and behavior patterns to improve your well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

n a typical therapy session, we'll begin by checking in on how you've been feeling and any significant events or changes since our last meeting. We'll then discuss any specific concerns or issues you want to address that day. I'll guide you through techniques and exercises from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy tailored to your needs. These might include exploring and challenging negative thought patterns, practicing mindfulness exercises to stay present, and developing coping strategies for stress and anxiety. The goal is to provide you with practical tools and insights that you can apply in your daily life to create positive changes. Each session is a collaborative process, and your feedback is essential to ensure the therapy is effective and aligned with your goals.
