Hello, my name is Heather Dawson and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #12552) with the State of Florida. I earned my Master’s degree from The University of Central Florida, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, also from The University of Central Florida. My goal is to work with individuals and families in need within the community using a holistic approach. I have experience teaching parenting skills to parents, treating depression, anxiety, trauma as well as experience as a dependency case manager, working with victims of abuse, mobile crisis and working with individuals with substance abuse issues. I am available limited times on weekday evenings and weekends. I am a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and Gottman techniques.
