What should a new client know about working with you?

I don't really have an ideal client. Anyone who is wiling to come into treatment and is willing to do the work. As a social worker, my role is to support individuals and families through challenges, connect them with the resources they need, and empower them to build on their strengths. I meet people where they are—without judgment—and help them navigate life’s difficulties, whether it’s emotional, financial, or social. My primary focus is diverse, underserved communities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I build empathy by creating a safe, non-judgmental space—even before a client ever contacts me. This means speaking to their emotional experience with warmth, understanding, and clarity. I acknowledge what my clients might be feeling and use calm, supportive language. I also invite them to reach out by being approachable, transparent, and compassionate.
