Getting to know Heather Gasser

I began working in mental health as a therapist in 2000 when I earned my masters degree in Social Work form Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. My work in a variety of settings has deepened my passion for supporting individuals and couples through life’s most challenging seasons. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience with attachment dynamics, trauma, anxiety, addictions and spiritual health. Today, I integrate my clinical training with compassionate, faith-informed care for client's interested in integrating faith into their change journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in treating mild to moderate Alcohol Use Disorder and addictions of all kinds from shopping to food. I can help you discover what is driving your behavior and keeping you stuck. I help the spouses of those struggling with addiction to grow and find their voice. I use a variety of evidence based modalities such as motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral approaches. I have a biblical worldview that informs my practice and I am able to help Christian clients access their faith and divine power in the change process.
