Heather Cohen Meiselman, MSW, LCSW, has been in private practice for over 25 years, providing individual, family, and couples therapy for those dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, fertility issues, pregnancy loss, aging concerns, relationship challenges, and family dynamics.
Heather graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Psychology in 1992 and earned her Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Barry University in 1996. She is licensed by the State of Florida (LCSW).
Her experience includes working as a hospital social worker with brain injury, spinal cord injury, and trauma patients and their families. She has also worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility as an individual and group therapy facilitator, in outpatient/PHP/IOP settings, and with family services, in addition to her extensive private practice.
Heather practices individualized, patient-focused therapy, where each client has a personalized treatment plan. She tailors her services to meet specific needs and incorporates the therapy approach that is best received and most effective for each client.
Heather is excited to offer teletherapy to her clients, extending her reach to those who are unable or uncomfortable going into a formal office setting. She believes teletherapy is a beneficial and effective form of therapy and has re-created her practice to work full-time offering teletherapy with a variety of hours to meet her clients' needs.
