Hello! I'm Heather, a licensed clinical social worker dually licensed in Florida and Arizona. Originally from California, I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology there. With nine years of experience in the mental health field, I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and families in various settings. My background in social work and counseling has given me a comprehensive understanding of the external factors that can impact an individual's mental health. I specialize in children's and adolescent mental and behavioral health, depression, family relationships, life transitions, intimate and romantic relationships, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, trauma, perinatal support (including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum), stress, and anxiety. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and solution-focused, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you recognize and change distressing thoughts, ultimately improving your quality of life. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, validating, and empowering environment for you. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you set your goals and priorities for treatment. Together, we will work towards achieving those goals, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and diving into a good book.
