Treatment methods Trauma Informed Care I use trauma-informed care by looking beyond symptoms and behaviors to understand the experiences that may be driving them. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I’m interested in understanding, “What happened, what did you learn from it, and how is it affecting you now?” I prioritize safety, trust, collaboration, and choice, allowing clients to move at a pace that feels manageable rather than pushing them to disclose or process experiences before they are ready. My goal is to help clients understand the “why” behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can develop greater self-understanding and make meaningful, lasting changes. Integrative I use an integrative approach because I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual, rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular therapeutic model. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and techniques depending on each client’s needs, personality, goals, and circumstances. What works well for one person may not work for another, so I adapt my approach as therapy progresses. My goal is to understand what each client needs and use the tools and strategies that are most likely to help them create meaningful change. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) I use CBT to help clients recognize the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and identify patterns that may be contributing to distress. Rather than simply telling clients to “think differently,” we work together to understand where those thought patterns came from, whether they are still serving a purpose, and how they can be changed. I incorporate practical strategies for challenging unhelpful thinking, developing healthier coping responses, and making behavioral changes that support the client’s goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
