Heather Ross, LCSW

Heather Ross, LCSW

Psychotherapist
UT
Finding the right therapist is an important first step toward healing—and I believe that the most effective therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship. I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating addiction, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, personality disorders, trauma, attachment challenges, and LGBTQIA-related concerns. My approach is identity-centered and grounded in compassion, presence, and genuine understanding. My role is to help you reconnect with that inner wisdom—serving as a sounding board, offering support, and holding space for self-discovery and growth. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I am trained in Brainspotting—a powerful, neuroscience-based modality that can help process trauma more deeply and efficiently. Many of my clients have found Brainspotting to be transformative, especially when other approaches haven’t gone far enough. My passion for this work comes from my own journey in mental health. Earlier on I experienced therapy with practitioners that didn’t make an effort to connect or weren’t a fit. Having a treatment team’s assumptions about me be wrong at times, when it impacted my life negatively, inspired me to give others more of a voice in their treatment.
