Getting to know Heather Schultz

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with additional certification in yoga. I’m here to support you through life’s transitions, whether you’re a teen navigating the complexities of adolescence or an adult facing meaningful change. Using evidence-based approaches like DBT, ACT, and CBT, I tailor each session to your unique path, helping you overcome obstacles and embrace opportunities for growth. Together, we’ll integrate mindfulness practices to build self-awareness, inner peace, and a deeper connection to your values. I believe in the power of holistic well-being and encourage a lifestyle that nurtures both your physical and mental health. Through collaborative goal setting and compassionate support, we'll work to unlock your full potential and create a life of purpose and fulfillment. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, know that you’re not alone – I’m here to walk with you, every step of the way.

What should a new client know about working with you?

No pressure, no expectations - just a chance to get to know each other. The first session is really about understanding what brought you here and what you're hoping to get our of therapy. I'll ask some questions to learn more about your experiences, and you're welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. This is your space, and we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. You don't need to prepare anything or have the "right" words-just show up as you are. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel, seen, heard, and understood. We'll also talk a bit about how I work and what therapy with me might look like, so you can decide if it feels like a good fit. This is the first step in a process that's all about you-your goals, your growth, and your healing. I'm here to support you every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is flexible and collaborative and tailored to you needs. We typically start with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong foundation. As we progress, we will continue to assess what is most helpful for you and adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and whats happening in your life.
