What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t have to have it all figured out before starting therapy. Most of my clients come to me in the middle of something big; divorce, separation, relationship strain, emotional burnout, and they’re looking for a space that’s calm, honest, and productive. That’s what I offer. My style is warm, grounded, and straightforward. I’m not here to analyze you from a distance or offer vague advice. Instead, we’ll work together to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface and find practical, emotionally attuned ways to move forward. Clients often tell me they feel seen, supported, and more in control after just a few sessions. I specialize in working with children, individuals and couples facing divorce, relationship transitions, high-conflict dynamics, and the emotional aftermath that often follows. If you’re navigating co-parenting challenges, grief after separation, or just trying to rediscover who you are post-relationship, I’m here to support that process. As a private-pay therapist, I work outside the insurance model. That means no labels, no required diagnosis, and complete confidentiality. Therapy with me is fully personalized and not bound by insurance restrictions, ideal for people who value discretion and want a more flexible, focused experience. Our work won’t be about “fixing” you, it will be about helping you reconnect with yourself, make sense of what’s happening, and feel more emotionally equipped for what comes next. You can book a free 15-minute consult so we can talk through what you're looking for and see if it's the right fit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I focus on creating a space where you feel heard, safe, and not rushed. We'll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been hard, and what you’re hoping will feel different. I’ll ask some questions to get a full picture, but the conversation will feel natural, more like a collaborative dialogue than an interview. From there, I tailor the process to fit your needs. For some clients, therapy is about gaining clarity and direction during a life transition like divorce or separation. For others, it’s about working through emotional patterns, boundaries, or communication struggles. We’ll identify specific goals together and check in regularly to make sure therapy is staying helpful and aligned with what you need most. My sessions are active and engaging. I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, offer insight, and provide tools when useful. You won't be doing all the talking or leaving each session wondering what to do with what came up. I aim to make every session feel meaningful and grounded in real-life application. As a self-pay provider, I’m able to offer therapy without the constraints of diagnosis requirements or insurance limitations. That allows us to focus fully on what’s important to you, at your pace and on your terms. Ultimately, therapy with me is a partnership. You bring your story, and I bring experience, perspective, and a steady presence to help you work through the hard stuff and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
