Psychotherapist
NY
I am a strong believer in the power of talk. Talking heals. Many shy away from therapy because they feel supported by friends, family, or co-workers—why would they need a therapist? While support from loved ones is essential, a counselor offers an uninvolved ear—an unbiased, non-judgmental person who can help you see your life differently than friends or family can within personal relationships. I believe the client-therapist relationship can be one of the most positive and empowering experiences. Whether you want to discuss your childhood, current life, or future goals, I promise a warm, caring environment and empathetic ear. I specialize in helping individuals navigate difficult life transitions—relationships, social stress, education or career changes, or personal matters. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQQIA+ individuals who may not feel fully safe or understood in their journey. I also work with those struggling with anxiety and worry, helping clients identify triggers for panic, anxiety, and stress, and develop healthy coping skills. I assist with generalized anxiety affecting daily tasks, panic disorders, and OCD, which involves obsessions and compulsions. My dual Master’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology and Child Development from Adelphi University uniquely position me to help clients identify emotional and social triggers impacting their ability to manage unpleasant feelings and unhelpful behaviors.
