Heidi Hust, LICSW

Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Heidi! Hi! My name is Heidi Hust, MSW, LICSW #LW60912071. I earned my Master?s in Social Work from Eastern Washington University and have worked in the mental health and crisis management field for over 10 years, serving individuals, couples, adolescents, and children. When I am not practicing therapy, I am likely planning a family event, camping, fishing, or spending quality time with my family and friends. My approach As a strength-based, client-centered therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, honest, judgment-free, supportive space that encourages self-exploration and empowers you to be your best self. My approach is drawn from several disciplines: cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, family systems, solution-focused therapy, attachment theory, and others. My focus My clinical focus is on anxiety, depression, life transitions, divorce, parenting, domestic violence, and sexual assault; however, I am not limited to this list. Most clients face a multitude of challenges, and I am happy to meet them where they are and build a collaborative therapeutic alliance. My communication style Clients can expect a pleasant, sometimes playful environment that is a welcoming space to be vulnerable and engaged in their therapeutic work. I actively listen and provide clear, empathic feedback while assisting clients in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My journey to mental healthcare Helping people is my passion. My undergraduate degree is primarily in nursing; however, I realized that my focus wasn?t as much on the longevity of life but rather the quality. I have worked in crisis management and stabilization at the hospital and for the State of Washington, but what has truly moved me is therapy. It is an honor to be part of my clients? journeys. My goals for you My role is to assist you in identifying your goals and creating a plan that is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound.
