Do you have that constant voice in the back of your mind that tells you how awful you are, that relentless one that won't go away? Sometimes in life, we feel overwhelmed, detached, and unable to take care of our needs. We take these feelings out on ourselves and others we love. It can be difficult to face things, even if we want to. Regardless of our best efforts, we find ourselves feeling defeated and fearing we are failing. This might be because you have difficult things in your life that are preventing you from making the changes you want. Seeking counseling is a courageous way to find healing and peace in your life. I provide a space that allows you to explore what is keeping you stuck and help you reconnect with yourself. I offer EMDR, along with other emotionally based therapies. I have 15 years’ experience working in various levels of education and in the mental health field with individuals who have experienced trauma, trauma-related symptoms, and PTSD. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. Taking this step to seek therapy and work on yourself can be scary. The good news is you do not have to do this alone. Together, we can explore what is keeping you stuck and help you create a new path that will allow you to move forward with hope and healing. It can get better!
