My name is Helon Belton. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, as well as an EMDR Certified Therapist. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas, San Antonio. I have worked with numerous populations, including veterans, women and men with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and self-esteem issues.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I employ a person-centered approach that leaves you in charge and we go at your pace, where I merely guide you on your journey of self-discovery.

Helon is always a pleasure to work with. He is great at leading the sessions, helping me plan and set goals, deal with emotional challenges, and most importantly he is able to call me out when I’m veering away from my goals without condemning me. He is encouraging in a way that has helped me see my value. He always comes with a plan for the session but gives me the space to talk and vent as well when I need to. It’s a great balance and has been a huge part of my growth this year. Thank you Helon!
