Hillari Levine, MA

Psychotherapist
NY
*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I work with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and stress management, helping them make sense of their experiences, connect the dots between patterns, and gain perspective on their lives. I offer a supportive space where you can reflect deeply while also building tools and resources to navigate everyday challenges. Together, we’ll uncover clarity, build confidence, and create space for lasting growth, so you can move through life with more ease, insight, and connection to yourself. I bring a warm, real, and curious energy, creating a space where you can be fully seen. I balance gentle challenges with supportive reflection, helping you gain meaningful insight. In addition to evidence-based interventions and psychoeducation, I bring honesty, compassion, and a touch of humor to the space, offering support as we peel back the layers to deepen self-understanding. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. If you’re ready to better understand yourself and make meaningful change, now is a great time to begin. I create a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood, and I’d be honored to support you on your journey. Hillari Levine has a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. Hillari is a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor, MHC-LP 18-P137107-01 at Cerebral (New York). Supervised by Alexis Walker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) 015160 (New York).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I became a therapist because I believe in the power of understanding ourselves—our histories, emotions, and patterns—to create lasting change. My background in behavioral neuroscience sparked my fascination with how the brain and our experiences shape who we are, and that curiosity grew into a deep passion for supporting others through the work of healing and self-discovery. My style is warm, curious, and real. I’ll meet you where you are—with compassion and honesty—and gently challenge you when it feels right. At the heart of my work is helping people feel more at home within themselves—less weighed down by self-doubt, and more connected to their clarity, confidence, and wholeness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

With a background in behavioral neuroscience, I bring a deep curiosity about how the brain and lived experience shape our inner worlds, both practically and existentially. My therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and real, grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a belief in each client’s capacity for growth. She draws from Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and mindfulness-based approaches.
