As a therapist with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, I believe that much of our healthcare system, along with our capitalistic, consumerist society, is deeply flawed. As a result, our bodies, spirits, and minds are suffering; we are not machines meant to be tied down to a job solely to pay bills until we die. To live a life of meaning, to feel fully alive and full of vitality, does not come from subscribing to the outdated formulas and patterns we've been spoon-fed and prescribed. Living a life of passive submission is not a life well lived. PsychSomatica group practice is here to help you realize that old patterns are no longer serving you. The alarm systems called depression and anxiety are not always chemical imbalances in your brain but your body's way of letting you know that something isn't right. There is nothing ?wrong? with you-you are not broken; the system is. Our group practice works best with folks who are ready and willing to commit to making changes in their lives.
