Getting to know Hope Kravetz

Hello and welcome! My name is Hope, and I am a compassionate therapist with 21 years of experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and support for adolescents and women’s health. My approach is holistic, blending evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness with a strong humanistic foundation that values each person’s unique life experience. I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow with the right support, and I am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other challenges, I’m here to guide you in developing the skills you need to move forward with confidence. Whether you’re navigating a difficult life transition or looking for a deeper sense of purpose, we can work together to help you find balance and clarity.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe in the power of listening—by creating a space where you feel truly heard, I aim to help you build a better understanding of yourself. We will work together to explore not only the emotional aspects of your experiences but also how various areas of your life—like your physical health, work, relationships, and spirituality—impact your overall well-being. I encourage an active partnership in the therapy process, which includes both talking through challenges and taking practical steps outside of sessions. I believe in empowering you to monitor your progress and celebrate the positive changes you’re making, big or small. You’ll leave each session feeling supported and motivated to continue on your healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with getting to know you on a deeper level—understanding your daily life, the challenges you’re facing, and the emotional and mental roadblocks that may be affecting your well-being. During our initial sessions, I will also take the time to answer any questions you have about my approach, ensuring we’re a good fit for one another. Once we have a strong understanding of your needs, we’ll dive into therapy. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and humanistic therapy to help you reframe negative thoughts, increase self-awareness, and gain practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, or other life struggles. I also believe in the importance of ‘homework’—small, actionable steps outside of sessions that encourage growth and change. Throughout the process, I’ll guide you, offer feedback, and provide direction as you work towards insight and healing. Together, we’ll track your progress so that you can begin to internalize the positive shifts taking place in your life.
