Taking action to address a mental health or substance concern is a big step-well done! How can I help you? I will explore your history, what’s helped, what hasn’t, and what is making it worse. I will offer you options for how we to approach your concerns. I utilize a variety of Evidence Based Treatments, including Mindfulness Based Interventions, Trauma Focused CBT, Client Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help folks meet their goals. Based on your needs and preferences, we will come to an approach that best suites you! What should a person who is considering my services expect in terms of results? Feeling happy, elated, or always accepted and valued by others? Not by a long shot. The desperate pining for those states is part of the problem. A sense of okayness, ease, and calm are outcomes I have been able to help people achieve and return to. Why these? Because they’re attainable, reliable and offer the freedom to just be you 100% of the time-even when things are not going well. The work I do also aims to grow your creativity. When we are depressed, anxious or angry, our ability for creative living often goes out the window. I'd like to hear about your hobbies, spiritual, religious or philosophical interests, artistic, fitness or business plans. We can explore ways to expand your ability to build on these interests which often has a secondary effect of improving our mood and outlook.
