What is your typical process for working with clients?

Hunter approaches therapy as a collaborative journey, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their experiences. He begins by helping clients clarify their values, desires, and the challenges they face. Using a person-centered and motivational interviewing framework, Hunter guides clients in reconnecting with what is most important to them, providing energy and direction in their lives. He draws from evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, DBT, somatic therapy, systemic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs. For couples and families, Hunter focuses on systemic and relational dynamics, supporting healthier communication and emotional connection. For individuals, he helps explore internal experiences, cultivate resilience, and uncover deeper purpose. Hunter’s goal is to help clients navigate life's complexities with greater emotional awareness, clarity, and confidence while fostering a sense of integration and alignment with their authentic selves. Whether addressing trauma, existential questions, or relationship struggles, he brings a soft, steady presence balanced with directness and discernment to support growth and healing.
