Getting to know Ian Tera
*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans*
I work with adults who are navigating relationship challenges, family dynamics, and struggles with self-confidence. I believe therapy is not about having all the answers—it’s about having a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.
I bring a warm, calm, and collaborative approach to therapy, creating an environment where you can show up as you are. Whether you’re struggling to communicate in a relationship, feeling stuck in a family dynamic, questioning yourself, or finding it difficult to feel confident in who you are, I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, better understand yourself and your relationships, and develop healthier ways of communicating, connecting, and responding to life’s challenges. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to try something different.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re not used to putting your thoughts and feelings into words. I understand that taking that first step can be difficult, and I work to make the process feel comfortable and approachable. You don’t have to have the right words or have everything figured out before you begin.
You deserve relationships where you feel heard, a stronger sense of confidence in yourself, and the freedom to move through life with greater clarity and intention. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward those things.

What should a new client know about working with you?
I became a therapist because I understand how overwhelming life can feel, and no one should have to navigate it alone. In our sessions, you’ll find a grounded, non-judgmental space where you are truly heard and supported. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths to navigate challenges and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
You'll find my clinical style is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused, blending empathy with accountability. I draw on evidence-based practices such as CBT, SFBT, and strengths-based approaches to help clients recognize patterns and create practical paths forward. With my grounded presence, I ensure clients feel supported and empowered as they work toward healing and growth.
