What should a new client know about working with you?

provide affirmative and client-centered therapy. I am trained in and utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to help clients process adverse experiences. I also have extensive background and training in LGBTQIA+ matters. I am passionate about working with queer individuals to help them deepen their self-reflection, trust their capabilities, and feel empowered. It is important for society to not only tolerate but also celebrate diversity, as it encourages people to be more of themselves. Therefore, it’s important to honor non-normativity. Understanding how intersectional identities, such as race, gender, and sexuality, influence the experiences of queer individuals within our society can help foster affirming practices that are culturally competent and developmentally appropriate. As a therapist, I believe support and affirmation play a crucial role in helping individuals develop healthy coping skills and nurturing positive attitudes towards their identity. As a society, we are constantly dealing with anxiety and isolation. The rapid advancement of technology has made it more challenging than ever to unplug and stay grounded. We often find ourselves overworked and emotionally exhausted due to the pressures of a fast-paced, high-stress lifestyle. These factors can worsen feelings of anxiety and depression, resulting in isolation. However, acknowledging these challenges will create a space where you feel comfortable exploring joy and learning to reconnect with yourself. By opening up about our struggles, we will take the first step towards healing, building resilience, and fostering connection to face challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

With the right support, we can overcome any challenges we come across. I am committed to working collaboratively with you to gain clarity on which steps to take that align with your values in life. Together, we will create inner trust and new paths of hope that will serve as guiding lights in your life.
