Hello, I'm Ifeoma. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and went on to earn my Master's in Social Work at Indiana University. With over 10 years of experience, I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. My journey in mental health has been dedicated to teaching individuals healthy coping mechanisms, effective anxiety management strategies, and ways to process and overcome depression, as well as healing from past traumatic events.
My approach to therapy is both evidence-based and organic. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, but I also incorporate a spiritual element to cultivate a healthy therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about truly listening to my clients to understand who they are and what they have been through. I strive to create a holistic environment that fosters trust and vulnerability, believing that you are more than your diagnosis.
My clients appreciate my directness; I don't sugarcoat things and encourage my clients to be direct with me as well. I am committed to being respectful of your experiences and life journey. I believe that we all should be the authors and narrators of our lives. Sometimes, when life tries to scribble its mess, we need a little guiding hand to help retake the pen.
