Getting to know Ilona Menshova

I help people improve their ability to cope with life by utilizing behavioral tools that foster personal change and growth. I focus on creating a positive, non-judgmental environment while building trust. I build positive connections with my clients-sometimes through humor and laughter, other times through empathy and compassion. I tend to be more solution-focused while assisting clients in maximizing the use of self. Having earned a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and worked in healthcare for several years, I am able to assist clients in utilizing community resources to achieve their optimal level of wellness.

I will collaborate with you to identify what may be holding you back from the freedom to live a more enriching life. My mission is to help you rediscover a senseof hope and encourage you to move forward with the feeling of empowerment and a renewed ability to cope with life challenges.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I believe God sent Ms. Menshova to quite literally save my life. ??

I was very quickly aware that the provider was put of her depth and was asking if I can do a partial hospitalization again for depression because it seemed she thought I needed more help than she felt she could give me and that made me feel awful. She wasn't very empathetic either and wasn't trying to see from my point of view or anything. Not helpful at all. She made me feel like she didn't want to help me.
