What should a new client know about working with you?

I am compassionate, yet firm; non-judgmental, yet direct; creative, engaging and attentive, yet rigorous and actively present. Through our work together, you will experience sense of ease, improved emotional regulation, increased body awareness, and a greater sense of safety and connection. Clients often share they feel relief, clarity and aliveness in sessions. I support clients struggling with stress, anxiety and depression, chronic illness, difficult life transitions, heartbreak of grief and loss, effects of childhood, generational and relational trauma, and help couples and relationships resolve conflict, improve communication and restore trust. I love working with multicultural clients, and help people heal from religious/spiritual trauma and narcissistic abuse. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirmative and ADHD/Neurodivergence informed. Some of my specialized studies and trainings over the years include: Neuro-Affective Relational Model (NARM®) Level 2 and Masters level trauma therapy training with Dr. Laurence Heller, founder of the NARM Institute and the author of "Healing Developmental Trauma"; interpersonal neurobiology training with Dr. Dan Siegel, neuropsychiatrist and founder of the Mindsight Institute; somatic trauma therapy certification with Linda Thai; somatic nature therapy, ceremony and rites of passage certifications with Katie Asmus, founder of Somatic Nature Therapy Institute in Boulder, Colorado; Grief Certified Therapy training with David Kessler, grief expert and the author of "Finding meaning, the sixth stage of grief"; end of life, death and dying care training with Roshi Joan Halifax at the Upaya Zen Center.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I meet you where you are with compassion, care and genuine curiosity. I am passionate about providing the best care and I wholeheartedly believe in the innate capacity of each one of us to heal and thrive. Our therapeutic relationship will start with some time to get to know each other. We will hone in on what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. Then, we will tailor a plan to help you meet those goals and of course, we will be open to any pivots or tweaks we need to make along the way. Even after our first session you will have strategies and skills available to implement in your day to day life to support you in moving forward towards your goal.
