Getting to know Iris Vivier

I am a graduate of the Fordham University School of Social Work and have dedicated my career to serving adults and the geriatric population living with severe mental illness. For the past twenty-seven years, I have worked closely with individuals and families affected by serious mental illness and/or addiction, delivering education, training, resources, and support as they pursue mental wellness. My role has included facilitating goal setting, empowering clients to identify their aspirations and implementing positive lifestyle changes that promote overall health and well-being. My therapeutic approach is characterized by empathy, warmth, and active engagement. I am committed to treating all individuals with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion, without judgement or the use of stigmatizing labels. My practice integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, humanistic principles, talk therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness strategies and grief counseling. I will customize our dialogue and treatment plan to address your specific and individual needs.
