Getting to know Irma Sandoval-Arocho

I am a New Jersey licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a Doctorate in Social Work and over 25 years of social work practice experience, including 12 years as a practicing clinician. I am also licensed in Puerto Rico. I specialize in serving Latiné/x communities and am sensitive to issues of acculturation and immigration, the balancing of culture and career, and for first-gen college students, navigating college without a roadmap. As a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish), I provide a culturally responsive space where clients can explore their preferred future. My approach is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which means we don’t stay stuck only talking about what’s wrong. Instead, we work together to notice your strengths. I provide virtual therapy to clients in all of New Jersey, and specifically, across Mercer, Burlington, and Middlesex Counties including Bordentown, Hamilton, Robbinsville, Lawrenceville, Princeton, Trenton, Burlington, New Brunswick, and surrounding communities.
