“If I could give him extra credit stars, I would. I did not really know what to expect when I started therapy but I know that the few therapists I started with were not a good fit. Then I picked Isaac and I am so glad I did. The amount of growth I have made with him is worth its weight in gold. He has helped me see me for who I am to down to my core and finally see myself how all the people around me have seen me all along. He has helped me love me. And that is a priceless gift.”

“I cannot thank Isaac enough, after multiple neutral or negative experiences with different providers I was skeptical of the idea of therapy in general. Isaac changed that in the way that he approaches the therapy process. It is difficult to say in what ways or how Isaac has provided such a better experience, but I would definitely recommend Isaac for any person who has had less than positive therapy experiences in the past.”

Getting to know Isaac Wright

Hi there, I'm Isaac! My name is Isaac Wright, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles. I am an eclectic practitioner who enjoys utilizing different approaches that promote healing, recovery, and growth. My approach I am a Certified Diplomate of CBT with the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. With this approach, I endeavor to help clients recognize distorted thinking, maladaptive beliefs, or unhelpful behavioral patterns that are creating or exacerbating emotional distress. I use tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients learn how to better respond to unwanted thoughts and feelings and practice radical acceptance in response to the inherent distress of the human experience. I also utilize psychodynamics, which elicits feedback and understanding about early life experiences, dynamics with primary caregivers (including but not limited to biological parents), and how these experiences subsequently impact relationships with the self and others. My focus I focus on treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and post-traumatic stress. I utilize a collaborative approach and emphasize the importance of physical exercise, nutrition, and addressing health holistically. I am a firm believer in addressing treatment elements and exercises between sessions and frequently utilizing homework. My communication style I consider myself moderately expressive and mildly directive.
