Psychotherapist
4500 140th Ave N, Ste 101, Clearwater, FL
Hi, I’m Isaiah Millstein, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (RMFTI). I believe therapy should be a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself, exploring challenges, and working toward meaningful change. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, anger management, relationship challenges, LGBTQ+ concerns, identity exploration, life transitions, and everyday stressors. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling in your relationships, or simply looking to better understand yourself, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered. My therapeutic approach incorporates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I tailor our sessions to your individual needs, focusing on identifying strengths, developing practical coping skills, improving communication, and creating realistic, achievable goals. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel overly clinical or intimidating. Sometimes meaningful growth begins with an honest conversation and a space where you can simply be yourself. I look forward to supporting you as you work toward becoming the version of yourself you want to be!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me means having a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, down-to-earth, and occasionally sprinkled with humor because I believe therapy can be meaningful without always feeling so serious or clinical. During our sessions, we’ll work together to identify your strengths, explore challenges, develop practical coping skills, and create realistic goals that align with the life you want to build. I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring my approach to your unique needs. You can expect genuine conversations, thoughtful questions, encouragement, and a therapist who is invested in your growth. I won’t pretend to have all the answers, but I’ll work alongside you to help you discover what works best for you. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning after some time away, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while still working toward meaningful progress.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is all about getting to know you! We’ll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, exploring your background, identifying any current challenges, and talking about what you hope to accomplish. There’s no pressure to share everything right away. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. In our following sessions, we’ll check in on how things have been going, explore any challenges or successes you’ve experienced, and work together on developing practical strategies to help you reach your goals. Depending on your needs, sessions may include identifying unhelpful thought patterns, building coping skills, strengthening communication, setting boundaries, or exploring solutions to current stressors. My approach is collaborative and flexible, so no two sessions will look exactly alike. I encourage open conversations, welcome feedback, and regularly check in on your progress to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with something meaningful to carry into your everyday life.

More information on payments and coverage

I believe that accessing quality mental health care should be as straightforward and stress-free as possible! I accept several major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), UnitedHealthcare (UHC), Aetna, Cigna, and Molina. For clients who prefer to pay out of pocket or do not have insurance coverage, my self-pay rate is $100 per session. Insurance benefits vary depending on your individual plan, so I encourage clients to verify their coverage, including any applicable copays, deductibles, or coinsurance, before their first appointment. My goal is to make the financial side of therapy as transparent and manageable as possible so you can focus on what matters most: your mental health and personal growth!
