What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they appreciate my warmth, humor, and the balance I bring between directness and compassion. In our sessions, you can expect to feel both supported and gently challenged. I work to create a space that feels safe for vulnerability while also empowering you to explore meaningful change. I'm not a “just sit and nod” kind of therapist—I’ll ask intentional questions, help you connect dots, and give you tools to navigate what’s coming up in your daily life. I welcome the parts of you that feel confused, messy, or stuck, and together we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of the life or relationships you want.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We’ll begin by getting to know each other—your background, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to get out of our work. The first few sessions will be about understanding your goals and mapping out how we’ll work toward them. From there, our sessions will focus on deepening your self-awareness, challenging unhelpful patterns, and building emotional regulation and communication skills. I often incorporate CBT and trauma-informed approaches to support lasting change, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and effective for you. I believe therapy should reflect your lived experience—so I tailor each session to meet you where you are, culturally and emotionally.
