Hi there! My name is Ivanna Burgos. I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John's University. I have been in the field for 7 years, primarily working with children, adolescents, and adults. I also have experience working with the geriatric population. I believe that many times in life we hit certain roadblocks and do not know where to turn, which can leave us feeling stuck. With the right tools and motivation, those roadblocks can be broken down. As a therapist, I am here to help guide you in making the best-informed decisions that will help you find a solution by utilizing different techniques and approaches tailored to your needs. When asked what approach I use, I can name many; however, every client is different, and every approach should be tailored to the client rather than the client being tailored to the approach. I feel the hardest part of therapy is taking that first step in seeking services to start the healing process. Allow me to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential environment where you can voice your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
