What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. Together, we work at your pace to explore challenges, build insight, and reconnect with your strengths. I have worked across diverse settings including medically fragile populations, crisis intervention, relational trauma, family counseling, and individual and group counseling, providing care to individuals facing trauma, grief, substance use challenges, anxiety, and major life transitions. These experiences continue to guide my commitment to providing therapy that is compassionate, responsive, trauma-informed, and culturally affirming. My areas of focus include helping clients process trauma and relational trauma while building resilience, self-awareness, and emotional strength; supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, and emotional regulation difficulties through healthy coping strategies and emotional awareness; strengthening family and relationship dynamics through improved communication and healthier boundaries; providing compassionate support for postpartum concerns, women’s wellness, grief, loss, and life transitions; and helping clients explore cultural identity and self-esteem while reconnecting with their strengths and building a healthier relationship with themselves. Clients can expect a warm and genuine therapeutic space where they feel supported, respected, and accepted exactly as they are. I value creating a culturally affirming environment where clients’ backgrounds, values, language, and lived experiences are honored throughout the healing process. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership where clients are the experts on their own lives, and I prioritize moving at a pace that feels emotionally safe while fostering trust, empowerment, healing, resilience, and meaningful growth.
