What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where you are heard, respected, and accepted for who you are. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to help you gain insight, recognize your strengths, and develop tools to navigate the challenges you’re facing. My approach is tailored to each individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. Depending on your needs and goals, I may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, person-centered therapy, and your own interests—such as art, music, or games—into our work together. Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be yourself, explore what matters to you, and work toward a life that feels more fulfilling.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions are focused on getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying the challenges and goals that are most important to you. We’ll work together to develop a plan that fits your needs and feels realistic for where you are in your life. During ongoing sessions, we may talk through current concerns, explore patterns of thoughts and behaviors, process difficult experiences, and practice strategies that can help you manage challenges outside of therapy. I’ll regularly check in with you about how things are going and adjust our approach as needed. Every session may look a little different because therapy should be responsive to you. My goal is to create a comfortable space where you can be open and honest while we work together toward meaningful, lasting change.
