“This was my first therapy session on my own and I don't think it could have gone any better. Jackie's follow up questions helped me verbalize how I felt and my emotions surrounding situations. She was very warm and easy to talk to and you can tell she's listening which is very comforting.”

Getting to know Jackie Agboke

Hi there! My name is Jackie, and I have experience working as a therapist with people from a variety of backgrounds. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and am currently a clinical supervisor at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. As an African American woman, I understand the value of having a space where you can be your authentic self. Healing isn’t a linear process, and I’m here to help navigate it. I have a passion for working with people of color who find themselves struggling to feel heard, understood, or empathized with while navigating life. I often work with individuals seeking support with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and interpersonal issues.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I love to channel humor in our work together as well as practicing self-compassion. When I work with people I take into consideration past traumas and how the layers of our various identities impact our life experiences. I want to help clients also tap into their strengths and resources that already exist.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
