Getting to know Jackie Cunningham

Hello, I'm Jackie! I have enjoyed my career as a psychotherapist and LPC-Supervisor, working with a diverse range of clients and settings. Over the years, I've conducted inpatient, outpatient, group, family, and individual therapy, as well as extensive EAP sessions. My training in Critical Incident/Trauma/Stress management, along with special training with geriatric clients, has equipped me to work effectively with adults of all ages. Additionally, as an LCDC (chemical dependency) therapist, I've supported individuals struggling with addictions and their significant others. I am a culturally sensitive therapist, deeply committed to understanding and respecting the unique backgrounds of each client I work with. My practice has primarily focused on major depression and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and conflict resolution. I find great joy in counseling clients and believe that everyone has the potential to become happier individuals. I hold Baccalaureate and Master's degrees from Baylor University in Waco, TX, and bring many years of counseling experience to my practice. I believe that everyone can learn to create a supportive, caring environment for themselves by developing creative coping skills and relationship skills. My role is to help you see your potential and foster hope, self-acceptance, and insight. I firmly believe that anxiety, depression, and addiction respond positively to therapy, and it is possible for you to lead a healthier, happier, and more satisfying life.
