Getting to know Jackie Henretig
Hello, I'm Jackie. Life can be extremely difficult to navigate at times, especially when going through major life transitions. Therapy can be a time when you get to focus completely on yourself and reflect on what is getting in the way of you living your best life. I can help by providing you with the tools and skills to manage life challenges. I graduated from California Lutheran University with a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in California and Arizona. I have been working in university settings for eight years and in private practice for five years. I primarily work with young adults in transition. I focus on adults, using techniques primarily from psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT therapies to help my clients manage life problems and feel empowered to move toward change. I take a collaborative approach with clients so that together we can identify what is getting in the way of reaching life goals. I specialize in working with a variety of issues including addiction, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, military/veteran support, PTSD, intimate/romantic relationships, sleep disorders, somatic symptom disorder, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood. My goal is to help you build resilience and find a path forward that feels right for you. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to well-being.
