“Jacklynne has been absolutely incredible. Highly intelligent, a wonderful and kind listener, and most importantly she emphasizes the importance of tending to the WHOLE nervous system and body within her practice. To me it feels to be the real medicine in healing from traumatic experiences and learned anxiety, fear, and depression. Her skillset in somatics and nervous system regulation is exactly what I was seeking in a therapist. And I feel beyond lucky and grateful after each session. Dan Gould”

“I've been working with Jacklynne for a little over a year now and my experience has been very positive. Jacklynne is great at asking the right questions and giving you space to figure things out on your own. This is my second time experiencing therapy and we're just now getting into some methodologies like "parts work" that I didn't know existed which have been very enlightening. Thank you Jacklynne for showing up and spending time and energy with me so I can get to know myself better :) ”

Getting to know Jacklynne Marder

Do you notice yourself bumping up against the same old patterns? You may have disturbing memories that plague you or feel stuck and overwhelmed by the uncontrollable intensity of past trauma. Maybe you struggle with feeling that you aren't good enough or deserving enough. Maybe you feel weighed down by emotional pain or shame that you can't seem to shake. So often, our painful past experiences color our present perceptions, keeping us in a rut, circling through the same negative thoughts and feelings. I help those who feel imprisoned by their trauma break free and find empowerment and healing. As humans, our bodies and brains have an innate ability to heal themselves and be restored to ease and balance. I work collaboratively and compassionately, using gentle, accelerated tools such as EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and mindfulness-proven therapies that tap into these natural abilities, regulate the nervous system, and treat trauma and accumulated life stress. It is possible to find healing and finally put the past behind. You can feel relief and ease in your body and mind and meet the present with fresh eyes. My style is heart-centered, authentic, and curious, providing a safe space to help you process difficult emotions and access your own internal resources so that you may live the life you truly desire. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado. I am out of network with insurance and accept out of pocket pay only.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Hi there! Thank you for being here. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, passionate about helping people transform long-standing, painful patterns to find peace and freedom. I work with adolescents and adults on issues related to developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. I knew from a young age I wanted to become a therapist because I have always been fascinated by humans and how we are able to endure experiences we think we will never make it through. We each have a unique story. I feel grateful to have the privilege everyday to bear witness to these stories and to walk alongside others on their paths of healing. My goal is to help you resolve any underlying trauma that are effecting you, process difficult emotions, and build healthy coping skills so that you may live the life you truly desire and tap into your own inner resources in order to make positive, empowering changes I am out of network with insurance and accept out of pocket pay only.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with clients who are looking to heal from trauma. During the initial sessions, we will discuss how these traumatic experiences have impacted you. We will move into learning and practicing nervous system regulation tools and resources, and then go into trauma reprocessing through EMDR and Somatic Experiencing in order to help the nervous system heal from any trauma is has continued to hold. I am out of network with insurance and accept out of pocket pay only.

I've been working with Jacklynne for a little over a year now and my experience has been very positive. Jacklynne is great at asking the right questions and giving you space to figure things out on your own. This is my second time experiencing therapy and we're just now getting into some methodologies like "parts work" that I didn't know existed which have been very enlightening. Thank you Jacklynne for showing up and spending time and energy with me so I can get to know myself better :)
I’ve been to a lot of different therapists and felt exhausted by talk therapy, yet still stuck. I was referred to Jacklynne when I expressed that I was interested in a more somatic approach, and I’ve found her use of IFS really helpful in reframing my depression. If you’re stuck in talk therapy and you want to go deeper and “do the work”, Jacklynne’s intuition, compassion, creativity and resourcefulness will help you to unpack and gain more insight into yourself and what you need!
Jacklynne has a flexible and adaptive approach with many different tools - EMDR, talk-therapy, internal family systems, etc. and also can provide tactival advice for inflight situations. Refreshing change from dogmatic practitioners who insist on a rigid CBT or ACT script.
I've been seeing Jacklynne for about a year and a half and I am so unbelievably grateful for her. I first came to her in the immediate aftermath of a huge life change. I was so dysregulated and anxious at the time in a way that was deeply connected to childhood. Jacklynne so sensitively made me feel cared for and valued as she took me through exercises and tools to work through my grief. What started as coping mechanisms during instability has grown into a regular practice of my tools and dismantling of my negative beliefs. I have fundamentally changed so much since I've met her and feel way more empowered to navigate my life. I can't recommend her enough. She is out of network for me and still worth every penny. Thank you Jacklynne!
I'm new to therapy and tried a few different methods to find a therapist, none of which worked. I was introduced to Jacklynne initially for couple therapy. Since then I have spoken with her individually, and am very happy to have found her. She listens, provides guidance without trying to make decisions for you. I look forward to my sessions with her as I continue to navigate all of lifes challenges. If you have the opportunity to speak with her, take it.
Working with Jacklynne has changed my life for the better and in all the ways I wanted it to change. Before meeting Jacklynne, I struggled silently for decades. I believed that if I spoke about my fears and anxieties that it would make them “real”… so I buried them deep down, lived behind a smiling mask, and continued a pattern of self sabotage over and over. From the very first session with Jacklynne, I knew I was in a safe place. I knew I could speak freely and I didn’t feel judged. She is so fully engaged and attentive. She paid close attention to not only what I was saying, but how my body was trying to communicate. She taught me how to check in with the cues my body and my nervous system were giving me. She helped me understand what they had long been trying to show me. Prior to meeting her, I had become an expert at ignoring signs of distress in my body. Now I am back home in my body, mind, and soul. There are no words to convey my gratitude. She helped bring me back to myself.
I feel really fortunate to have worked with Jacklynne! I learned a lot about myself and ways to cope. I have worked with talk therapists in the past and Jacklynne really helped me get to the root of my challenges through a somatic lens. To this day, I still practice the skills she taught me and have new ways to regulate my anxiety and my inner child.
Jacklynne is the best therapist I've ever had. Highly professional, she expertly builds her session around what you need, listening with incredible empathy, guiding you to the source of your struggles, and helping you build powerful tools to self-soothe. I've grown so much in just a few months with her, and I'm so thankful!
I did sessions with Jacklynne for about a year and a half after going through a difficult life event. After speaking to several therapists, I knew she was the perfect fit. She has the warmest energy and is a great listener but always ready to stop me and ask something for us to dive in deeper, offer a different perspective, or challenge how I was thinking of something. I truly feel like a different person after our time together and while I have paused sessions for now, I know she is always there for anything I may need.
I had never been in therapy before working with Jacklynne and I feel very lucky the two of us have worked together! She is thoughtful, intentional, and perceptive. I have learned a lot about how to recognize when my anxiety is creeping in and how to handle it better when it does manifest itself. She asks very thoughtful questions that help me process my experiences; I feel listened to because she asks questions based on things we talked about in previous sessions. Together, she has given me tools like visualization or mantras to help work through past trama. I am so glad to have worked with Jacklynne!
I am so happy I found Jacklynne. She is an incredible therapist who really cares about my well being. I am a survivor of complex trauma. Jacklynne not only provides a compassionate and safe space, but she also helps me with somatic tools to regulate my nervous system. I am so grateful to have her in my corner. I could not recommend her more.
My sessions with Jacklynne Marder have been the most supportive tool in my mental wellness and healing journey. Jacklynne's empathy, nurturing approach, and knowledge of the mind-body connection provide an incredible space to explore my inner workings and navigate through life's challenges. With Jacklynne's guidance, I have been able to successfully work through loss, life changes, and develop my own sense of self-confidence and self-trust. I look forward to working with Jacklynne for years to come on my personal development journey!
Jacklynne has helped me so much. I have chronic illness and struggle with anxiety, pain and other issues and she has used a mix of somatic therapy, helped me build self-compassion, EMDR which have all been very helpful. I have made progress in many areas and have noticed major improvements in my sense of well-being, self-compassion, and self-esteem as well as a greater window of tolerance. I always look forward to our sessions because I trust her so much, and feel truly cared for by her. I highly recommend Jacklynne as a therapist!
I was immediately impressed by the thoughtful and incisive questions Jacklynne asked. She has a kind presence and I felt very comfortable sharing with her. She presented me with tools in a clear and concise way which I appreciate because I have a short attention span. When I asked questions about the application of the tools, she gave clear and quick feedback. I left my session impressed by her listening skills, her observations and helpful recommendations. I felt a sense of relief after the session and I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt good to feel comfortable sharing things I usually keep to myself. I look forward to working with her.
