What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that healing and growth happen through authentic connection, trust, and collaboration. I take the time to get to know each client as a unique individual, understanding that everyone's experiences, strengths, and goals are different. My approach is compassionate, empathetic, and tailored to your specific needs. As a DBT-Certified clinician, I am passionate about helping clients learn practical skills to manage emotions, cope with stress, improve relationships, and navigate life's challenges more effectively. I strive to help clients not only understand why they are struggling but also develop the tools and confidence needed to create lasting change. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and emotional dysregulation. Whether you are facing a difficult situation, feeling overwhelmed, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I will meet you where you are and support you at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Most importantly, I want clients to know that therapy is a partnership. You do not have to have all the answers before you begin. Together, we can build on your strengths, work through obstacles, and create a path toward greater balance, resilience, and overall well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding. During our first few sessions, I take time to learn about your personal history, current challenges, strengths, and goals so that we can develop a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to your needs. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with clients to identify meaningful goals and create practical strategies for achieving them. Together, we explore patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that may be contributing to distress while also identifying strengths and resources that can support growth and healing. As a DBT-Certified clinician, I often incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients improve emotional regulation, increase distress tolerance, strengthen interpersonal relationships, and develop mindfulness practices. Depending on each client's unique needs, I may also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches, strengths-based interventions, and other evidence-based techniques. Throughout treatment, we regularly assess progress, celebrate successes, and adjust goals as needed. My focus is on helping clients develop the insight, coping skills, and confidence necessary to navigate life's challenges more effectively and create lasting positive change. Most importantly, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered. My goal is to help each person build a stronger sense of self, improve their overall well-being, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling.
