Getting to know Jacob Kozecke

Qualifications I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus in Child and Family Counseling from the State University of New York at Buffalo 2002. I have a Master’s of Social Work with a concentration in Licensed Clinical Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Counseling Background My preferred populations are parents and couples dealing with behavioral problems with children and teenagers, parent-child conflicts and other parenting issues. I am passionate about helping parents and couples deal with communication issues, separation and marital problems, and other changes within the family. Other focus areas for me include working with individuals suffering from anxiety, clinical depression, grief, complex grief response, adjustment disorders and the need to address core trauma. I have a trauma informed care theory of orientation and subscribe to several evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I offer a free 15-minute intro call. Then you will schedule an intake session (approximately 90 minutes in length), where we'll discuss your goals and how we're going to achieve them. Each session after will be approximately 60 minutes in length.

Session Fees and Length of Service My session lengths are 90 minutes for initial intake sessions and 60 minutes for therapeutic sessions afterwards. The practice rates are $150 for intake sessions and $120 for therapeutic sessions. I am taking private pay at this time, which may be credited to your HSA.
