What should a new client know about working with you?

I pride myself in always meeting my clients where they are at in the healing journey. I am Trauma informed and educated. I work with client's regarding there trauma/PTSD and to find healthy ways to manage and improve there everyday life relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we first meet I put high emphasis and importance on getting to know the client better as well as what they hope to accomplish in therapy. The initial assessment may involve me asking questions about my client in an attempt to get to know them better as well as showing kindness and empathy. As a professional I know a diagnosis is important to insurance company however I tend not to focus too much on the label of the diagnosis rather I prefer focusing and helping my client's achieve there therapeutic goals and needs. I truly believe everyone’s life path is different as well as their journey to improving their mental health or substance abuse. This is why I adapted the slogan “Guiding Your Own Path” because with my experience working in the behavioral health field I truly believe in the path to healing is not a one size fit’s all approach. As a mental health and addiction professional I will do everything in my power to aid and guide clients into their own path to healing and wellbeing.
