“I really enjoy having her as my therapist. She never holds judgement and she never fails to put a smile on my face. She always knows what to say and how to help. She talks to me like a friend and not a client which I enjoy because it makes it easier to discuss how I am feeling with her since it doesn’t seem pressured, forced, scripted, or robotic. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needed a therapist.”

Getting to know Jacqueline Adams

Are you struggling in your daily life to manage intrusive thoughts or to keep yourself feeling "happy"? Are you struggling in your relationships to feel like you're "enough" or to feel appreciated? Do you often wish you had someone to talk to about some of the things you're experiencing to figure out a way to "fix" the things you're unhappy with? Hello, my name is Jacqueline Adams (she/her). I have worked as a mental health therapist in various settings for the past five years, supporting people dealing with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, and other challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University and a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. I seek to empower people to address their concerns and to develop hope and optimism that things can improve. I work with clients to create practical interventions they can use in day-to-day life to manage anxiety, depression, and other difficulties they experience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After working with me, you will feel hopeful and empowered to address different aspects of your life to create change. You and I will develop plans or exercises you can use in your day-to-day life to help improve your mindset and therefore your attitude and the environment around you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

The best introductory session I have had! Very relatable and made me feel comfortable to share my experiences. Lots of knowledge in therapeutic techniques for anxiety.

If you do not trust therapy or have a hard time trusting others with your emotions then you can count on Jacqui. She understands and hears you. I'm very detail-oriented and literally write her books about my week(s) to read before our session and she will read them and go through everything that she feels necessary for that session and help come up with solutions and think about it if she doesn't have anything right away. Literally the best!
Jackie is great! She’s a great listener and lets me say all the things I need to say and offers sound advice. She recalls previous discussions and I feel like she really knows me.
I appreciated that Jacqueline read my assessment beforehand and that the initial meeting was 0 pressure. We just chatted and she made me feel really comfortable. I was nervous prior to and leading up to the appointment which we addressed right away. I found Jacqueline to be very relatable and easy to talk to.

Video visit
Very friendly and welcoming for a first visit. Listened and made suggestions, read over the form I filled out prior to my appointment. I was nervous at first due to previous experiences in the past but I actually felt heard and cared for.
